Jessica Etzel- Artistic Director (Jazz, Lyrical, Acro, Hip-Hop, Pre-ballet, Competition)

Jessica has been dancing since the age of 8.  She studied with various dance studios and became the artistic director for the NCRC Dance Program in 2005.  trained with the internationally known Hanover Children's Ballet Theater & Company for four years, and then went into the world of teaching dance.  She has been a member of Footnotes Dance Company & The Force Performance Company, and currently, she is the co-director & co-founder of D&J's Dynamite Dance Company, a competitive dance team at the NCRC studio.  Jessica has been a featured performer at the Eichelberger Performing Arts Center in Hanover, PA, and she participates in several events to honor National Dance Week & DRA (Dancers Responding to Aids).  Her past awards include The Frank Hatchett Broadway Dance Center Scholarship and The Los Angeles Dance Force, "Dance with the Force Award."  In 2004, the American Dance Awards named her "Young Choreographer of the Year."  Her choreography has also been noted in more recent years by the American Dance Awards, Nexstar Talent Competition, and Dance USA.  She continues to take her choreography throughout the country, teaching master classes & choreographing routines for various dance groups.  Jessica is also a member of the Dance Olympus/DanceAmerica Faculty, a touring dance workshop & competition throughout the United States & Canada.  She has had the opportunity to travel to many cities in the United States, teaching master classes, judging dance competitions, choreographing routines, and performing with Dance Olympus.  Most recently, Jessica was named a semi-finalist for Fox's hit television show, "So You Think You Can Dance" and remained in the top 75 dancers in the competition.  Jessica also obtained a Bachelor's Degree from McDaniel College in Exercise Science and Physical Education where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in May 2003.

Darlene Graham (Tap, Tots, Acro, Boys Class, Competition)

Darlene has been dancing since age 5 and teaching since high school.  She grew up taking several dance classes per week at a local studio.  Darlene was a member and featured performer of the Footnotes Dance Company for many years.  After a move from Charleston, SC, Darlene came back to Maryland, where she began her teaching career.  Currently, she is the co-director and co-founder of D&J's Dynamite Dance Co.  Darlene specializes in tap & musical theater technique and has traveled to various dance conventions such as the Los Angeles Dance Force Tour and the Dance Power Express Tour.  In 2003, Darlene was named the Maryland State Dance Champion and was awarded with a cash prize for her work on the tap production "Dangerous."  Darlene has also instructed and choreographed for the 2002 & 2007 American Dance Awards Dancer of the Year.  She has been given choreography awards in 2005, 2006, & 2007 for her work on the tap routines "Dentist," "Dig It," and "Protect & Serve."   One of Darlene's top accomplishments came in July of 2005 as she, along with the D&J’s Knockout dancers, were invited to appear in Nexstar's "Big Show."

Margaux Winnard (Tots, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Competition):
Margaux is a current member of D&J's Dynamite Dance Company; even more important, Margaux is one of few original D&J's company members.  Currently, Margaux studies ballet, pointe, lyrical, tap, jazz, hip-hop, & musical theater at the NCRC studio; you can say that she's a very well-rounded dancer.  She has been awarded many top honors at regional competitions, and has been a member of several award-winning routines.  With her upbeat & bubbly personality, Margaux is a favorite instructor at the NCRC studio.

Brooke Davis (Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Acro, Tots, Competition)
Brooke is both an experienced performer and instructor at the NCRC Studio.  She has been a member of D&J's Dynamite Dance Co. for 7 years, and she still participates as a company member now, taking many classes throughout the week to constantly improve her technique.  Brooke has been awarded at many regional dance competitions & has been a member of many top-finishing routines.  She is an esteemed instructor at the studio and works extremely well with students on both an individual & group basis.  Currently, Brooke is pursuing a degree in Physical Therapy.  You can also see Brooke at the front desk too!
 
Donna Feher (Ballet, Tots, 5-7's, Hip-Hop)

Donna has been with the NCRC Dance Program since 1990.  She joined the NCRC, taking aerobics and began dancing soon after.  Gradually, she moved up through the ranks and began teaching in 1995.  Currently, she instructs pre-ballet and 5-7 year old dance, as well as assists with strict technical ballet and hip-hop.  Donna takes part in many dance classes at the studio in order to keep up with the ever-changing world of dance. Donna has a BS from Towson State University in Instrumental Music Education as well as her certificate in Elementary Education.  During the day, she works at a Baltimore County elementary school, and then shares her love of music and the arts with the children in her dance classes in the evenings.  Donna is also a student and assistant instructor in the Maryland Professional Karate Association, which offers classes at the NCRC Dance Studio.  She enjoys spending time at the studio with her son, who is also a dancer and martial artist.

 
Amy Hyde (Singdance, Jazz, 5-7's, Acro)
Amy has been a student of the NCRC's Dance Program for 23 years, and she has been teaching for them for the past 7.  In addition to working with the NCRC, she has also choreographed for several of North Carroll High School's Spring Muscials including, "Les Miserables," "A Midsummer Night's Dream," "Oklahoma," and most recently, "Aida."  Amy is also a participant in September Song's Community Theater productions.  She has served as dance captain in numerous productions such as "Hello Dolly," "The Music Man," and "My Fair Lady."  This past year, Amy played the role of Bonnie in "Anything Goes."  Amy is a graduate of McDaniel College where she recieved a BA in Theater Arts as well as a certification in Elementary Education.  Her college theater credits include, "Children of Eden," "Escape From Happiness," and "The Three Penny Opera."  Amy currenly performs daily in front of a classroom of students, as she is also employed by Carroll County Public Schools as a first grade teacher. 
 
Frances Miller (Ballet, Pointe, Tots, 5-7's)

This is Frances’ 12th year teaching with the NCRC.  She has been dancing since age 5 at various dance studios in Carroll County and was a member of NCRC’s performing company 'All That Glitters' from 1989-1997.   Frances has also studied dance at Towson University in Towson, MD and The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA.  She has performed in several of Carroll County’s September Song Musicals and at various community cultural events for the Philipino Association of Salem in Salem, Oregon.  Frances is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in Maryland and Pennsylvania and currently works for various Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Centers in MD and PA.  She resides in Hanover, PA with her husband Chad.

 
Theresa Stone (Step, Pre-ballet, Tots)
Theresa is a 20 year + veteran of the NCRC.  She began taking exercise and dance classes at the studio and then moved onto assistant teaching in ballet, tap, and jazz.  Theresa is certified with NETA as a group exercise instructor, and she currently teaches the step program at the dance studio.  She has many years of experience working with children of all ages, and is one of our favorite assistant teachers.
 
Beth Tudor (Hip-Hop):
Beth is our resident hip-hop teacher at NCRC, and she is no stranger to the studio.  Beth grew up, taking many classes at the studio & eventually became a member of D&J's Dynamite Dance Company.  Beth has participated in Monster's of Hip Hop, a touring convention in Philadelphia, PA, studying with famous choreographers such as Brian Friedman from So You Think You Can Dance!  Beth also is the head cheerleading coach at Southwest High School in Hanover, PA, where she has been recognized for her unique, innovative choreography.  Beth's experience & knowledge of hip hop will make her quite a popular teacher at NCRC.  Student's will love her upbeat, fresh style!
