Here are brief descriptions of each class offered at the 
NCRC Dance Studio: 

Tot Combo I (Theresa Stone, Donna Feher-Hesen, Tanya Kerr, Ruth Bush, Amy Appleby:
Mon. 6:00pm-6:30pm, Mon. 6:30pm-7:00pm, Tues. 5:30pm-6:00pm, Tues. 6:00pm-6:30pm, Sat. 9:30am-10:00am
For ages 3-5 yrs.  This is a 30 minute class that focuses on 4 main dance disciplines: ballet, tap, jazz, and tumbling.  Instructors will practice 2 disciplines per week.  Students will be given the opportunity to explore different types of dance in one combined session.  Dance attire (leotards, tights, ballet slippers, & tap shoes) are required.  Cost: $22/$27.
Tot Combo II (Jessica Etzel, Tanya Kerr, Brooke Saffell, Amy Appleby, Theresa Stone):
Wed. 6:00pm-7:00pm, Thurs. 10:00am-11:00am, Fri. 5:30pm-6:30pm
For ages 3-5 yrs.  This is an hour long class that focuses on 4 main dance disciplines: ballet, tap, jazz, and tumbling.  Students will be given the opportunity to explore different types of dance in one combined session.  The instructor will instruct each discipline for approxamately 15 minutes.  Dance attire (leotards, tights, ballet slippers, & tap shoes) are required.  Cost: $26/$31.
Boys Class (Darlene McCaul & Amy Appleby):
Tues. 6:00pm-6:30pm
For ages 4-8 yrs.  This is a 30 minute class that focuses on the ways that boys can be involved in the dance world.  During the class, boys will incorporate tap, jazz, and tumbling.  This is the perfect opportunity to attend a formalized class, aimed at teaching basic coordination & creative movement skills for boys only!  This class is perfect for any brothers who have sisters taking class at the same time!  Dance attire (t-shirts, shorts, & tap shoes) are required.  Cost: $22/$27.
5-7 Year Old Dance (Amy Appleby, Tanya Kerr, Donna Feher-Hesen, Ruth Bush):
Wed. 5:00pm-6:00pm, Thurs. 6:45pm-7:45pm, Sat. 10:00am-11:00am
For ages 5 -7 yrs.  This is an hour long class that focuses on 3 main dance disciplines: ballet, tap, and jazz.  Students will be given the opportunity to explore different types of dance in one combined session.  Instructors will mix up each dance discipline during each week of class.  Dance attire (leotards, tights, ballet slippers, & tap shoes) are required.  Cost: $26/$31.

Intro to Ballet (Heather Mosher):

Thurs. 5:00pm-5:45pm

For young, beginner dancers who wish to start their ballet training, this 45 minute class incorporates basic ballet technique and terminology – Ballet is the foundation for all types of dance. It is recommended that all dance students participate in ballet at least once per week.  All ballet classes are conducted in a professional manner - proper dance attire is absolutely enforced!  All students are required to arrive to class on time, hair should be securely placed in a bun, black leotards, pink tights and ballet slippers.  There are absolutely no baggy clothes or messy hair permitted in ballet class!  Cost: $24/$29.

Ballet I (Heather Mosher):

Thurs. 5:45pm-6:45pm

For advanced-beginner dancers who wish to expand their ballet training more extensively.  This is a 1 hour class that concentrates on proper ballet technique, form and terminology.  With ballet being the foundation form all types of dance, it is recommended that all serious dance students participate in ballet at least once per week.  All ballet classes are conducted in a professional manner - proper dance attire is absolutely enforced!  All students are required to arrive to class on time, hair should be securely placed in a bun, black leotards, pink tights, dance skirts (optional), and ballet slippers.  There are absolutely no baggy clothes or messy hair permitted in ballet class!  Cost: $26/$31.

Ballet III (Jessica Etzel):

Tues. 6:00pm-7:15pm

For intermediate dancers who have mastered advanced-beginner level of ballet technique and terminology.  This class is designed to challenge the intermediate dancer with choreography and repertoire.  This is a 1 hr & 15 min. class, and it is by placement only.  All students are required to arrive to class on time, hair should be securely placed in a bun, any colored leotard, pink tights, dance skirts (optional), and ballet slippers/pointe shoes.  Professional appearance and conduct is enforced. Cost: $28/$33.

Ballet IV (Jessica Etzel):

Tues. 8:15pm-9:30pm

For advanced dancers who have mastered intermediate level ballet technique and terminology.  This class is designed to challenge the advanced dancer with complex choreography, pointe work and repertoire.  This is a 1 hr & 15 min. class, and it is by placement only.  All students are required to arrive to class on time, hair should be securely placed in a bun, any colored leotard, pink tights, dance skirts (optional), and ballet slippers/pointe shoes.  Professional appearance and conduct is enforced. Cost: $28/$33.

Pointe I (Jessica Etzel):

Mon. 4:00pm-4:45pm

This class is offered to those dancers who are ready for a beginner experience in pointe shoes and who are TECHNICALLY STRONG.  There is never a standard age at which a dancer is ready for this discipline.  Each student is evaluated on an individual basis!  This class is 1 hr long and is by placement only.  This will challenge Beginner Pointe dancers (who have their pointe shoes) with choreography, pointe work, & repertoire.  Dancers enrolled in pointe class are required to be taking at least 1 hour of ballet training per week.  Classes are conducted in a professional manner - proper dance attire is absolutely enforced!  All students are required to arrive to class on time, hair should be securely placed in a bun, black leotards, pink tights,  and pointe shoes.  There are absolutely no baggy clothes or messy hair permitted in class!  Cost: $24/$26.

Pointe II (Jessica Etzel):

Thurs. 4:00pm-5:00pm

This class is offered to those dancers who are experienced in pointe shoes and who are TECHNICALLY STRONG.  There is never a standard age at which a dancer is ready for this discipline.  Each student is evaluated on an individual basis!  This class is 1 hr long and is by placement only.  This class will challenge the Adv-Beginner through Advanced dancer with choreography, pointe work, & repertoire.  Dancers enrolled in pointe class are required to be taking at least 1 hour of ballet training per week.  Classes are conducted in a professional manner - proper dance attire is absolutely enforced!  All students are required to arrive to class on time, hair should be securely placed in a bun, black leotards, pink tights,  and pointe shoes.  There are absolutely no baggy clothes or messy hair permitted in class!  Cost: $26/$31.

Tap I (Darlene McCaul):
Mon. 6:00pm-6:45pm
This class is for beginner tap students.  During the 45 minute class, students will be introduced to basic tap technique, rhythms, and sounds.  Dancers will begin to master heel/toe combos, shuffles, flaps, and other simple combo steps.  For all tap classes instructed by Darlene McCaul, dancers are required to have oxford style (lace up) tap shoes only!  Cost: $24/$29.
Tap II (Darlene McCaul):
Wed. 4:45pm-5:30pm
This class is appropriate for beginner/advanced beginner tap dancers who have already mastered a beginner level.  This 45 minute class will begin with a warm-up and will proceed with across the floor and center combos.  Dancers will proceed with newer, more advanced steps during- developing steps such as, wings, pullbacks, and time steps.  For all tap classes instructed by Darlene McCaul, dancers are required to have oxford style (lace up) tap shoes only!  Cost: $24/$29. 
Tap III (Darlene McCaul):
Wed. 5:30pm-6:15pm

Tap V- Competition Level (Darlene Graham):
Thurs. 6:00pm-7:00pm
This class is for advanced tap dancers who have already mastered the intermediate level technique and terminology.  During the 45 minute class, dancers will proceed through an in-depth warm-up, learn complex center & across the floor tap combos, and be introduced to advanced tap skills.  Dancers must have prior approval by Dar to attend Tap V.  For all tap classes instructed by Darlene McCaul, dancers are recommended to have Bloch Jason Samuels Smith tap shoes.  Cost: $26/$31.  
Jazz I (Brooke Saffell, Amy Appleby):
Thurs. 6:00pm-6:45pm
This class is appropriate for dancers who are beginning their jazz dance training.  This class will introduce the dancer to basic jazz technique, stretching, and strength work.  Dancers will begin to master isolations, placement, and basic jumps.  Tan or black jazz shoes will be chosen prior to the June recital- so don't buy them just yet!  No street clothes please, all jazz classes are conducted in dance attire only.  IT IS HIGHLY SUGGESTED THAT EACH DANCER ENROLLED IN THIS JAZZ CLASS, ALSO BE ENROLLED IN THE BEGINNER BALLET CLASS OR ANOTHER CLASS IN WHICH BALLET IS OFFERED!!!!  Cost: $24/$29.
Jazz II (Jessica Etzel):
Wed. 6:00pm-6:45pm
This class is appropriate for adv-beginner jazz dancers with dance experience.  This 45 minute class will begin with proper stretching and will continue with centerwork, across the floor technique, and short jazz combinations.  Dancers will focus on isolations of the body, beginning pirouettes/turns, and large jumps.  Tan or black jazz shoes will be chosen prior to the June recital- so don't buy them just yet!  No street clothes please, all jazz classes are conducted in dance attire only.  IT IS HIGHLY SUGGESTED THAT EACH DANCER ENROLLED IN THIS JAZZ CLASS, ALSO BE ENROLLED IN A BALLET CLASS!!!!  Cost: $24/$29. 
Jazz III (Jessica Etzel):
Wed. 4:30pm-5:15pm

Jazz V (Jessica Etzel):
Mon. 4:45pm-6:00pm
This class is for dancers who have already mastered the intermediate level technique and terminology.  During the 1 hour, 15 minute class, dancers will be led through an opening stretch, which focuses intensely on flexibility and strength.  The class will continue with advanced level technique, combining turns, jumps, and jazz movements.  Tan or black jazz shoes will be chosen prior to the June recital- so don't buy them just yet!  No street clothes please, all jazz classes are conducted in dance attire only.  IT IS HIGHLY SUGGESTED THAT EACH DANCER ENROLLED IN THIS JAZZ CLASS, ALSO BE ENROLLED IN A BALLET CLASS!!!!  Cost: $28/$33.      
8-12 Year Old L.E.T.-Leaps, Extensions & Turns (Heather Mosher)
Thurs. 6:45pm-7:15pm
This class is appropriate for students who have at least 2 years of jazz experience.  The class will focus on developing & improving 3 jazz basics: leaps, extensions, and turns.  This is a non-performing class and is for technique development only.  Cost: $22/$27.
Int/Adv Contemporary, Jazz, & Lyrical Combo Class (Nicole Sliwka)
Wed. 7:15pm-8:15pm
This class is appropriate for Intermediate & Advanced Jazz & Lyrical students.  The class will focus on building style through weekly dance combinations, offering a new, unique style each week. Cost: $26/$31.
Acro IA & IB (Darlene McCaul, Amy Appleby, Corinne Kavanagh):
Tues. 5:15pm-6:00pm, Wed. 6:45pm-7:30pm
This class is appropriate for dancers who are beginner acro students.  The class will focus on basic acro skills such as bridges, rolls, cartwheels, standing backbends, and limbers.  Pyramids and building skills along with dance elements will be incorporated into the class as well.  Dancers should always come to class in dance/gymnastic attire (preferably a leotard under the clothes to cover the belly)- no baggy street clothes and hair that is worn down for safety reasons. Dancers will be barefoot during all acro classes.  Cost: $24/$29.
Acro II (Brooke Saffell, Beth Tudor):
Sat. 11:00am-12:00pm
This class is appropriate for dancers who have already mastered a beginner acro level.  All Acro II students must be able to perform a standing backbend, a pull up, and a cartwheel on both sides by themselves.  The class will focus on intermediate acro skills such as limbers, walkovers, and handsprings.  Pyramids and building skills along with dance elements will be incorporated into the class as well.  Dancers should always come to class in dance/gymnastic attire- no baggy street clothes and hair that is worn down for safety reasons. Dancers will be barefoot during all acro classes.  Cost: $26/$31.
Acro III (Brooke Saffell, Beth Tudor):
Sat. 1:00pm-2:00pm
This class is appropriate for dancers who have already mastered an Advanced-Beginner acro level.  All Acro III students must be able to perform a standing backbend, a pull up, and a cartwheel on both sides, roundoffs, & backwalkovers by themselves.  The class will focus on more advanced acro skills such as handsprings.  Pyramids and building skills along with dance elements will be incorporated into the class as well.  Dancers should always come to class in dance/gymnastic attire- no baggy street clothes and hair that is worn down for safety reasons. Dancers will be barefoot during all acro classes.  Cost: $26/$31.
Acro IV (Brooke Saffell, Beth Tudor):
Sat. 12:00pm-1:00pm
This class is appropriate for dancers who have already mastered an intermediate acro level.  All Acro IV students must be able to perform either an aerial or backhandspring or aerial to be considered for this level.  The class will focus on advanced acro skills such as limbers, walkovers, handsprings, tucks, and aerials.  Advanced pyramids and building skills along with complex dance elements will be incorporated into the class as well.  Dancers should always come to class in dance/gymnastic attire- no baggy street clothes and hair that is worn down for safety reasons. Dancers will be barefoot during all acro classes.  Cost: $26/$31.
Acro V (Jessica Etzel):
Tues. 7:15pm-8:15pm
This class is appropriate for dancers who are at an advanced acro level.  All Acro V students must be able to perform backhandspring sequences, back tucks, and back tuck sequences to be considered for this level.  The class will focus on advanced acro skills only.  Advanced pyramids and building skills along with complex dance elements will be incorporated into the class as well.  Dancers should always come to class in dance/gymnastic attire- no baggy street clothes and hair that is worn down for safety reasons. Dancers will be barefoot during all acro classes.  Cost: $26/$31.
Kid's Pom (Beth Tudor, Donna Feher-Hesen, Darlene McCaul):
Mon. 6:45pm-7:15pm
This class is appropriate for beginner dance students who have little or no dance experience & who are older than 5 years.  The pom dance class is a high energy class that consists hip hop/jazz movements & techniques, while holding & dancing with pom poms.  Shoes will be determined by instructor prior to recital time.  Cost: $22/$27.
Hip Hop I (Beth Tudor, Donna Feher-Hesen):
Mon. 7:15pm-7:45pm
This class is appropriate for beginner dance students who have little or no dance experience & who are older than 5 years.  Any hip hop class is a high energy class that consists of funky, street style movements.  This class includes "MTV" style moves with a bit of old school break dancing.  Sneakers are required for all classes!  Cost: $22/$27.
Hip Hop II (Beth Tudor, Donna Feher-Hesen):
Mon. 7:45pm-8:30pm

Lyrical I (Brooke Saffell, Amy Appleby):
Thurs. 6:45pm-7:15pm
This class is appropriate for beginner lyrical dancers.  Lyrical dance is best described as a mix between ballet and jazz.  Dancers will be exposed to a unique style of dance that will enforce emotional performance along with technical movement.  Dancers will perform a stretch, centerwork, and travel across the floor.  Tan or black lyrical shoes will be chosen prior to the June recital- so don't buy them just yet!  No street clothes please, all lyrical classes are conducted in dance attire only.  IT IS HIGHLY SUGGESTED THAT EACH DANCER ENROLLED IN THIS LYRICAL CLASS, ALSO BE ENROLLED IN A BALLET CLASS!!!!  Cost: $22/$27.
Lyrical II (Brooke Saffell):

Lyrical IV (Jessica Etzel):
Wed. 8:15pm-9:30pm
This class is appropriate for Advanced Lyrical dancers who have mastered the intermediate level technique and who understand lyrical style. Dancers will pursue a more mature, emotional performance along with technical movements.  Dancers will perform a stretch, centerwork, and travel across the floor.  Tan or black lyrical shoes will be chosen prior to the June recital- so don't buy them just yet!  No street clothes please, all jazz classes are conducted in dance attire only.  IT IS HIGHLY SUGGESTED THAT EACH DANCER ENROLLED IN THIS LYRICAL CLASS, ALSO BE ENROLLED IN A BALLET CLASS!!!!  Cost: $28/$333.
Irish Step (Emily Johnson)
Tues. 4:00pm-4:45pm
This class is appropriate for beginner dance students who have little or no dance experience & who are older than 5 years.  The class consists of irish step dancing movements & may involve a soft shoe or percussive style.  Cost: $24/$29.
Zumba (Ruth Bush):
Wed. 8:00pm-9:00pm, Sat. 8:30am-9:30am
The NCRC Studio holds Zumba classes twice per week.  Zumba is fun, high energy workout full of latin, African, and hip hop movements & routines.  Cost: $8 single class; $26/$31.
Adult Dance (Heather Mosher):
Thurs. 8:15pm-9:15pm
This class is offered for Adults only and includes ballet, tap, & jazz, depending on teacher & student preference.  Cost: $26/$31.

Karate (MPKA):
The NCRC Dance Studio also houses the Maryland Professional Karate Association's Manchester Branch under the direction of Sensei Mike Drayer.  The karate program operates both a children and adult program on Tuesday and Friday evenings.  For more information, please contact Mike Drayer at 410-875-3265:
